The space

Encantada Guesthouse is a separate stand-alone Two Bedroom Villa, located on the lower level of the Hacienda Encantada estate. Delightfully decorated, with an attention to detail not commonly found in Costa Rica, this lovely upscale vacation rental home features large picture windows filled with Spectacular Views, a Full Kitchen, as well as a Media / Sunroom with HDTV, and an Extensive DVD Collection. It also has A/C, a Private Pool & Sundeck, WIFI, Hot Tub, a Seasonal Firepit, and a private Rain Forest Hiking Trail that leads to a magical hidden stream below. The house is close to the most popular adventure activities and there are several restaurants and small markets located nearby in the rustic village of El Castillo.

Our Guesthouse makes a perfect romantic retreat for Couples and Newlyweds, but it is also Family Friendly. If you are traveling with young children, just let us know and we'll be happy to provide items to make their stay a little easier, like a Play & Pak crib, Highchair plus Books, Toys, Games and lots of Family Movies, too!  You'll sleep like a baby in our comfy therapeutic pillowtop queen beds, soothed by the soft thunder of rushing rivers and the ever so gentle night song of Crickets, Red Eyed Tree Frogs and Wiley Geckos.

The house can be booked with either of two flexible options: As a romantic One-Bedroom Villa: Just for Two, at a special  reduced nightly rate, or  as a Two-Bedroom Villa, accommodating up to five people plus an infant.  Both options include private use of the entire home, with Living Room, Bathroom, Full Kitchen, Dining Room, Private Pool & Spa, BBQ, Outdoor Patios and many other property related  amenities.
 
Although the Guesthouse is Self Catering, we provide a special Starter Breakfast Basket, that includes breakfast basics like: Pancake Mix, Eggs, Costa Rican Coffee, Juice, Fruit and Bread.  Enough to get you by for a day or two. The kitchen comes stocked with a variety of money saving kitchen essentials, such as: Cooking spices, basic condiments and more. Just imagine sipping your morning coffee, while gazing out at the lake or sitting in a front porch rocker, listening to a chorus of tropical birds and howler monkeys call to greet the dawn from the rain forest jungle below. In short...There is no better way to start your fantastic adventure filled day.

Encantada, is also the perfect place to relax after a busy day of vacation play. Come home to peace, privacy and tranquility. Soak in a steamy hot tub, set at just the perfect temperature for you, curl up in a cozy hammock for a good read, or just get cozy by the seasonal firepit. There’s plenty of covered outdoor seating too, with two patios and a cute covered garden terrace with dining area and gas BBQ grill.

Things to Note:
1. The house can sleep up to 5 persons, and one infant under two.
2. A 4x4 SUV is Strongly Recommended for the Monteverde and Arenal Areas, due to Rough Road Conditions. (Including our own little cow path to Paradise). We can suggest a Great Car Rental Agency too!
3. Please enjoy our playing with our pets outside of the house.
4. This is a NON-SMOKING Home., designated smoking area are available.

Guest Access
This is not a shared space. Our guests will enjoy private use of the entire guesthouse and its related property amenities, with either the one or two-bedroom rental option.There is a keyed entry. Our recommendations and driving Instructions will be sent upon Confirmed Booking and Lake Arenal is an easy 3.5-hour Drive from either San Jose or Liberia International Airports.

Other Things to Note
1. We have two very sweet furry ambassadors on the property. Our rescue dogs Beau & Angel, love to interact with guests. We ask that you do not bring them into the house.
2. This is a NON-Smoking Home. However, you may still enjoy smoking in either the BBQ area or the covered upper terrace.
3. It's a Jungle out there! So, it is important to clean up any crumbs or spills immediately or bugs & ants may drop by for a moveable feast.
4. We advise that you wear some Bug Spray if you are out hiking or sitting outside at Dusk or Dawn. There are wild animals in the Jungle; please do not try to interact with them. It is strongly advised that parents always supervise their children.
5. All guests swim at their own risk. This is a private home and there is no lifeguard on duty.
